About Micro-Greens
Micro greens are young vegetables that grow approximately only 1 to 3 inches high. These have great nutritional benefits and an aromatic flavour. They often contain larger amounts of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants than their more mature counterparts.
Micro greens can take typically 15 days to grow to that height in normal sunlight.
Process:
1. The micro trays should be filled with the soil mixture of soil and cocopeat (60% soil+15% cocopeat and the rest with manure)
2. The seeds must be placed densely throughout the soil. Then sprinkled with water and exposed to the sunlight.
3. When they grow about 2.5 to 3 inches depending upon the height of the tray, they should be harvested.
4. These can be used for salads, soups and herbs for garnishing!!
